Tools for Boox ("we", "our", or "us") operates the https://toolsboox.com website and the Tools for Boox mobile application (the "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and what choices you have regarding your data.

Information We Collect
Information You Provide
Most features of Tools for Boox do not require you to create an account or provide personal information. If you contact us for support, we may receive information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
Calendar Data and Notes
Calendar entries, handwritten notes, drawings, planner pages, and other user-created content are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store this information on our own servers.
Google Drive (Optional)
If you enable Google Drive synchronization, Tools for Boox stores copies of your calendar pages in your Google Drive App Data Folder.
This storage area belongs to your Google account, is managed by Google, and is accessible only by you and Tools for Boox. We do not keep copies of these pages on our own servers.
Purchases (Optional)
Tools for Boox is free to install; some features are unlocked by an in-app purchase or a subscription. The app checks your purchases with the store on your device. Some versions of the app also send a purchase’s details to our server, which confirms them with the store; for those purchases we store:
- the identifier of your app installation or of your Tools for Boox account – not your name or email address;
- the store’s order number and purchase token, the app and the product you bought;
- the purchase’s state, start and expiry time, and whether a subscription renews automatically.
Payment itself is handled by the store: we never receive your name, email address or payment details.
TeamDrawer Collaboration (Optional)
If you use the optional TeamDrawer collaboration feature, shared drawings are temporarily stored on TeamDrawer servers to enable collaborative editing.
TeamDrawer drawings are automatically deleted 7 days after their last modification, except for a small number of built-in example rooms used for demonstration purposes, which are not user-generated content.
Analytics and Diagnostics
We use Google Firebase to better understand how the application is used and to improve the Service: Firebase Analytics for usage statistics, including which in-app purchases are made, Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports, and Firebase Performance Monitoring for the app’s speed. They may collect information such as:
- Device model
- Operating system version
- Application version
- Anonymous usage statistics
- Crash and diagnostic information
- App start-up and network request times
- An identifier of your app installation, not linked to your name or email address
- Approximate geographic region
This information is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which sets cookies in your browser. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the website may not function properly without them.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the Service

- Diagnose crashes and technical issues

Data Retention
Calendar data and handwritten notes remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the application.
If Google Drive synchronization is enabled, the copies of your calendar pages remain in your Google Drive App Data Folder until you delete them.

Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide customer support or comply with legal obligations.
Purchase records are kept for as long as the purchase or subscription can be used, and afterwards as a record of it. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Google retains analytics data according to Google's data retention policies.
Data Deletion
Since most user data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by:
- Deleting content within the application;
- Uninstalling the application;
- Deleting the application's data from your Google Drive App Data Folder (if Google Drive synchronization is enabled);

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

- Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring
- Google Drive (if Google Drive synchronization is enabled)
- Google Play (only to confirm a purchase)
- TeamDrawer servers (only when using the TeamDrawer collaboration feature)
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the Service.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
